Robyn Rihanna Fenty also called Rihanna by Barbadians is a singer/songwriter. Her biggest hits include Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. Rihanna is an extremely well-known performer who has sold more than 41 million albums around the world and more than 150 million songs. Barbados was born in Barbados, she initially began listening to reggae music as she got older and started singing herself when she was a teenager. To escape the tensions in her family along with her parents' constant fights and arguments, she began to sing. At the age of 16 she joined a group of musicians and got the chance to meet producer Evan Rodgers. He was stunned by her talent. His request was that the teenager move into New York and pursue a professional singing career. Rihanna jumped at the chance to take it. Rihanna made her first album and was an instant hit. The young crowd was captivated by her songs with a catchy sound that had them tapping their feet, and this led Rihanna into the film industry. She's now a teen fan and model. Rihanna puts her fame into great use through being involved in several charitable causes
