LeBron Raymone James Sr., born the 30th of December, 1984, is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). King James is widely regarded as one of basketball's greatest players. He's often in comparison to Michael Jordan when discussing the most well-known player. James is the winner of the distinction of winning four NBA champions. There are four NBA MVPs. Four NBA Finals MVPs. Three All-Star MVPs. Two Olympic golds. James had more points than any other player during the playoffs. He also has the second highest number of career points, and is seventh in career assists. He has been selected to be an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times. He was also selected on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. As a total, James has played in 10 NBA Finals, the third-most of all time. The streak spans eight consecutive years between 2011 and 2018. James was selected to his place on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player who has scored 10,000+ points as well as rebounds and assists in his career in 2022. James played basketball in St. Vincent St. Mary High School, located in Akron Ohio. The national media hailed him as an NBA star. In 2003 it was the year that his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first in the NBA draft, as a pre-pro. He was named one of the NBA most promising rookie in the 2004. Then he was one of the top athletes of the NBA, winning both the NBA MVP Award both as of 2009 and in 2010. James was a free agency following his failure to secure championships for Cleveland. The decision to leave Cleveland to join Miami Heat, announced on the television show The Decision, is considered among the most controversial free agent actions in sports history.
