Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's Lofaso invites guests to look into her soul through her cuisine. It is her food that inspires curiosity. This was the result as she moved out of her Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally rich scene of Los Angeles. Her belief of the fact that cavatelli and carnitas can co-exist effortlessly on a menu reveals a taste that evolves constantly. Her dishes all have a common concept, that is embracing the moment and reminiscing on the past. Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso founded in 2013, was a huge success because it was inspired by her Italian roots. Lofaso's take on old-school Italian has been hailed as the one of Los Angeles' most compelling Italian restaurant chains. Lofaso has been consistently praised by Scopa's patrons for its food, which is authentic and unmistakably pleasing. Lofaso learned from culinary giants who used sophisticated techniques. But, she didn't hesitate to take extreme risk to follow her own instincts. After a brief period she rose to the top of Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Later she worked alongside many celebrities, while transforming various Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso created Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. She was able to secure an outlet in Black Market as well as the partnerships she established. Lofaso was able to achieve her dream of creativity through her collaboration. Black Market does not have a single direction, which is the reason why it was created. The course could start with potato chips dill and shishito peppers, followed by an ice cream roll Korean wings, and then a series of meatballs. Antonia's bold flavors are the base of these bold flavors. Lofaso has, over the course of her career, has judged her performance by the degree to which she understands her audience. Also, she stays true to who she is. The memorable performances on Top Chef Chicago & Top Chef: All Stars showcased her talents outside of the kitchen. Her talents are evident in her recurring roles in the CNBC's Restaurant Startup judge as well as on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child & ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso joined forces together with Penguin in 2012 to publish The Busy Mum's Cookbook 100 recipes to prepare Delicious home-cooked Meals. The book describes her struggles going to the French Culinary Institute and raising her daughter Xea. Lofaso says that her passion to cook is the main for her accomplishments. She continues to be on top of things by keeping a close eye on trends and fashion. She is transforming the aesthetic by redesigning chef wear for style and functionality by launching her brand Chefletics. Lofaso is committed to being true to yourself and your goals. To achieve this, she has launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. The new business will give customized experience for customers.
